Safety Specialist
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site safety resource for all construction-related activities.
- Identify, evaluate, and correct potential safety hazards in real-time.
- Lead and support safety training efforts, including fall protection, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and general construction safety practices.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident reporting.
- Educate and coach employees and contractors on safety protocols and compliance standards.
- Work closely with a diverse workforce, including international contractors, utilizing translation tools and maintaining patience and professionalism in communication.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety requirements at all times.
Essential Skills
- 3–4 years of experience in industrial or commercial construction safety.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence safe behaviors on-site.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, active construction environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OSHA 300 and/or OSHA 510 certifications.
- Experience working with multilingual teams or international contractors.
Work Environment
The project is based in Jeffersonville, IN. Work schedule is Friday to Sunday, from 7 AM to 8:30 PM, with an hour and a half lunch break. There is an opportunity for long-term growth and future travel assignments upon successful completion, such as a potential upcoming project with SpaceX in Texas.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
