Safety & Security Manager

Core Work Activities

• Manages Security/Loss Prevention Operations
• Conducts hazard and risk assessments
• Develops detailed shut down procedures
• Complies with applicable laws and safety regulations
• Follows key control guidelines
• Develops monthly checklist for CCTV equipment, alarmed doors, and duress alarms
• Performs inspection tours of recording systems during patrols
• Protects owners/guests and associates
• Handles complaints, settles disputes, and resolves grievances
• Implements action plans to monitor and control risk
• Maintains loss prevention operations including patrol process, emergency response, investigations, shipping and receiving process, electronic key system, and manager on duty responsibilities
• Manages Accident Prevention Committee
• Manages first aid program
• Maintains claims process and protects company assets
• Communicates safety procedures and details procedure codes
• Develops liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services
• Updates executives and peers on relevant information
• Provides information to supervisors and co-workers
• Provides personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care

Leading Security/Loss Prevention Teams

• Communicates critical information to Loss Prevention officers
• Emphasizes teamwork and close working relationships
• Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
• Identifies developmental needs and coaches, mentors, or helps others improve their knowledge or skills
• Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others
• Leads by example

Providing Exceptional Customer Service

• Maintains quality standards and customer expectations
• Identifies educational needs and develops formal educational or training programs
• Inspects and critiques the performance of the loss prevention department
• Provides services that exceed customer satisfaction and retention

Conducting Human Resources Activities

• Interviews and hires team members
• Trains new associates and provides follow-up training
• Communicates performance expectations
• Conducts departmental orientation program
• Schedules associates to business demands and tracks time and attendance
• Administers property policies fairly and consistently
• Completes disciplinary procedures and documentation
• Observes service behaviors and provides feedback
• Ensures associate recognition
• Solicits associate feedback and reviews satisfaction results
• Participates in associate progressive discipline procedures

Pay and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $30.05
Pay Range: $62,500 – $66,500
Relocation Assistance is Available
Driving is required for this position; screening will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years' experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area
• OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Criminal Justice or related major; 2 years' experience in the security/loss prevention or related professional area
