About the role
Legacy Health is recruiting a Safety Security Associate Officer at Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. This is a non-union, on‑call position with a variable schedule.
Responsibilities
- Help protect people and property
- Guide visitors
- Monitor designated areas
- Assist with screening or observation assignments
- Note: this role excludes arrests and patient restraint
Requirements
- High‑school diploma or equivalent
- Related security, corrections, military, first‑responder or behavioral‑health experience preferred
- Customer‑service experience preferred
- Qualifying driver’s license preferred
- AHA Healthcare Provider BLS and DPSST temporary or full unarmed certification required within 14 days
- Full DPSST certification and Legacy de‑escalation training required within 120 days
Pay
Base pay: $20.24–$28.93 per hour.
Schedule
On‑call with a variable schedule; includes a 10% on‑call differential and minimum shift availability requirements.
Benefits
- Evening differential: $2.50 per hour
- Night differential: $4.30 per hour
- Weekend differential: $3.00 per hour
