Safety Manager - Mission Critical

Big-D Construction is seeking a Safety Manager - Mission Critical to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional safety experience and a commitment to creating a zero-harm culture.

Responsibilities

• Works on a specific jobsite and collaborates with the safety team and leadership to establish a zero-harm culture.
• Maintains job site activity for inspections and administrative tasks, documenting safety conditions through photographs and reports.
• Develops and implements safety improvement plans with project leadership and documents these plans.
• Conducts and participates in safety training meetings for employees and supervisors, providing detailed reports of each meeting.
• Investigates and responds to safety concerns and incidents, assisting in accident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and company safety standards on all jobsites.

Requirements

• Experience working on large commercial projects in a safety capacity.
• Electrical safety experience is highly preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour training required; OSHA outreach instructor certification (OSHA 500) preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associated Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or other relevant safety certifications are desirable.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
