Safety Manager - Location - West Territory
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones.
We need to decide which sections to include: About the role (maybe the introductory paragraph about Konecranes values and job description summary). Responsibilities (list). Qualifications (maybe includes Education & Experience and Required Skills & Competencies). Benefits (they list benefits). Possibly also "Other Requirements" like travel expectancy. Could be part of Qualifications or a separate "Requirements" section. The instruction says we can use headings like Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to map content.
We have:
- Intro paragraph: "At Konecranes, we believe that great customer experience is built on the people behind the Konecranes name. Everything we do, we do with passion and drive. We believe diversity drives business success and is the foundation for our growth. We welcome different backgrounds and skills that enrich our community, and we promote a place where we can ALL be ourselves. This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work."
Then "Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Location: West Territory (North West Area = Minnesota, Iowa, Washington, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho, Oregon, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Montana, Missouri) The Safety Manager ensures safe working conditions and practices that meet all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies are being followed at site locations. The Safety Manager also coaches site manager and personnel on the recognition, elimination, and control of occupational hazards and environmental risks. This position is responsible for the development of HSE improvement plans, metrics, and strategies as it applies to job site locations."
That is a prose summary.
Then "RESPONSIBILITIES:" bullet list.
Then "Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:" bullet list.
Then "EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:" bullet list.
Then "OTHER REQUIREMENTS:" bullet list (travel expectancy).
Then "Additional Information What we offer: Benefits: Medical Plan, Dental, Vision, 401k plan with a match from day one, identity theft protection, accident insurance, travel insurance and so much more! Vacation: 2 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year depending on start date). 5-12 years of service, 3 weeks. 13+ years of service, 4 weeks. Sick Leave: 5 days of Sick Leave per year. Pro-rated the first year after 90 days of service Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year"
Then more company description and EEO etc which we need to remove (boilerplate). Also "Konecranes moves what matters..." etc is boilerplate? It's generic company description; maybe we can keep as part of About the role? But instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The company description may be considered boilerplate but it's substantive about the company. However they said "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." Could include an "About the role" section that includes the introductory paragraph and position summary. The later company description may be considered filler; but it's not duplicated. Might be okay to keep as part of About the role? However they said remove EEO etc. The later paragraph about Konecranes moves what matters... is not EEO but still generic marketing. Might be considered boilerplate but not explicitly listed. Safer to keep only the initial intro and position summary as About the role.
We need to avoid duplication: The location appears in the position summary; we keep that.
Now sections:
- About the role: combine intro paragraph and position summary (maybe two
elements). Could be one
with both sentences.
- Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
then - each bullet.
- Qualifications: Could combine Required Skills & Competencies and Education & Experience and Other Requirements into one Qualifications section, or split into Skills and Requirements. The instruction allows headings like Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We could have:
Qualifications
then maybe sub-sections? But we cannot nest headings inside? We could just list all qualifications as - . Might be okay.
But we need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to include:
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of OSHA 1910 and 1926 and applicable MSHA 30 CFR standards.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written). The ability to speak and understand Spanish is a plus.
- Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft® Office.
- Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize.
- Must be a highly motivated and motivational team-oriented individual with an attention to detail.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, or equivalent preferred.
- 5 or more years of progressive safety management experience in occupational safety and health within an industrial service or mine mining sector is required.
- Experience with both OSHA and MSHA standards is required.
- Safety certifications such as CSP, OHST, CHST and CMSP are considered a strong asset.
Other Requirements:
- Travel expectancy is 50% with frequent overnights
Benefits:
- Medical Plan, Dental, Vision, 401k plan with a match from day one, identity theft protection, accident insurance, travel insurance and so much more!
- Vacation: 2 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year depending on start date). 5-12 years of service, 3 weeks. 13+ years of service, 4 weeks.
- Sick Leave: 5 days of Sick Leave per year. Pro-rated the first year after 90 days of service
- Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year
We should not include Pay or Schedule sections because not specified.
We need to ensure we don't include filler like "and so much more!" maybe it's okay as it's part of benefits description.
We need to remove duplicated lines: I see "Oregon" appears twice in location list; we should keep as is but maybe deduplicate? The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Removing duplicate Oregon might be considered summarizing away detail? It's a duplication in the source; but it's likely a mistake. Should we keep duplicate? Probably keep as is; but we could keep both; it's not harmful. However we could keep as is; it's not a major issue.
