Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifying then eliminating or mitigating hazards utilizing hierarchy of controls
• Making frequent tours of the work site. Observing work processes and procedures while engaging employees, correcting safety deficiencies, and coaching
• Involves in all lockout procedures on site
• Completes a comprehensive daily safety inspection noting all failures/corrective actions
• Performs monthly audits: Rigging Inspection, Fall Protection Inspection, Assured Grounding Inspection, Temporary Power GFCI Inspection, ARC Flash PPE Inspection
• Produces weekly Toolbox Topics Relevant to Jobsite Activities
• Delivers safety orientation and training sessions to employees
• Incident & Accident Investigation
• Injury Case Management

Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial construction experience
• OSHA 30, 511 or 501 required
• CSP, OSHA 501 certification preferred
• Strong Leadership skills. Ability to teach others as well lead and manage a department
• Comfortable in public speaking settings
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
• Proficient with computers, phones, and other office equipment
• Knowledge of State & Local Codes, CFR 29 1926 & NFPA 70E
• Knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and requirements
• Understanding Focus Four and how to utilize the Hierarchy of Controls
