About the Role

The Safety Manager plays a critical role in shaping and driving a “Safe Thinking” culture across Boldt’s San Francisco healthcare projects, some of the most complex and high impact builds in the region. In this role, you will lead safety initiatives from planning through execution, working alongside high performing teams to ensure every worker goes home safe every day. You will take ownership of project wide safety efforts, including audits, inspections, and reporting, while proactively identifying risks and implementing strategies that elevate safety performance across dynamic, compliance driven healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety initiatives from planning through execution on healthcare construction projects
  • Own project-wide safety efforts including audits, inspections, and reporting
  • Proactively identify risks and implement strategies that elevate safety performance
  • Partner with field leadership, trade partners, and clients to build a culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Champion safe construction practices and lead trainings
  • Reinforce a team-first mindset to create an environment where safety is embedded in every decision

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or other related field required (equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • At least five years' experience in construction and/or industrial safety required
  • First aid and/or CPR certification preferred
  • Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred
  • A valid driver's license may be required; individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check

Skills

  • Experience on healthcare or other highly regulated projects such as OSHPD or HCAI
  • Experience leading Safety Task Analysis and Job Hazard Analysis during preconstruction planning
  • Experience supporting high risk activity planning and serving as a safety mentor for project teams

Pay

$120,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually
