Your Position Overview: As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and promoting our safety culture, Life Saving Rules, safety programs, and strategy.
Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Audit and inspect sites to ensure regulatory compliance and provide solutions to audit findings.
- Develop, coordinate, and present training and initiatives to promote safety innovations and reduce employee exposure to hazards.
- Participate in the development or review of job hazard analyses and risk assessments.
- Support environmental compliance and other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's level degree in safety sciences, safety management, EHS applied sciences, or related health and safety degree, or a bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific field with health and safety work experience and at least 2 – 4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent of education and experience.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Osha 1910, Osha 1926 and MSHA regulation knowledge preferred.
- Ability to coach, influence, present, and train others.
- Strong written and presentation communication skills.
- Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations with some overnight stays required.
- Regular and timely attendance.
- Ability to pass a drug/alcohol screening and background check.
- Must have a valid Driver's license and a good driving record.
