About the Role
Anheuser-Busch is seeking a Safety Manager to support our brewery in Columbus, OH. This role ensures ownership and integration to drive sustainable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems while providing guidance on strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure ownership and integration to drive sustainable EHS management systems.
- Provide effective training on EHS topics, including creating presentation materials and speaking in front of groups.
- Develop EHS improvement initiatives and manage daily EHS operations.
- Provide guidance to senior management on EHS strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Direct investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective measures for environmental non-compliance incidents.
- Represent the facility to external regulatory agencies.
- Compile EHS information and data required by zone, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Complete reports and inspections mandated by regulatory bodies.
- Conduct assessments of regulatory impacts and EHS risks from project and process changes.
- Identify unsafe behaviors and conditions using regulatory requirements and best safety practices.
- Contribute to the overall needs and objectives of the department and brewery.
- Foster team building by involving employees and leadership in EHS processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of safety/environmental experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to collaboratively work with all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to work any shift, provide on-call coverage, and work weekends/holidays as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Comfort with change and the ability to lead it.
- Working knowledge of government regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements (federal, state, and provincial) to the workplace.
- Effective decision-making and resource utilization to accomplish goals.
- Acts with integrity in all EHS matters to maintain compliance and excellence.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay
$106,400 - $126,350 annually, bonus eligible.
