Key Responsibilities
- Lead safety initiatives across multiple projects and locations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal standards
- Conduct audits, site inspections, and risk assessments, providing clear recommendations to mitigate hazards
- Develop and deliver safety training programs, ensuring consistent understanding across field teams and subcontractors
- Maintain and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and documentation
- Partner with leadership to drive safety strategy and improve overall performance metrics
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Oversee safety reporting, presentations, and communication to senior leadership
- Support the hiring, development, and performance management of safety personnel
What They're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in environmental health and safety, ideally within construction, mechanical, or industrial environments
- Experience leading safety programs across multiple sites or regions
- Strong understanding of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations (NFPA, EPA, DOT)
- Prior experience managing or mentoring safety professionals
- Able to influence teams in both office and field environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of an organization
- OSHA certifications (10, 30, or 500)
- CHST, ASP, or similar professional credentials
- CPR / First Aid certification
