Safety Intern

Responsibilities

• Support the Safety Team in maintaining and improving site-wide health and safety programs
• Assist with administrative tasks, including the evaluation and optimization of safety management systems
• Gather and analyze feedback from employees regarding potential safety improvements and identified risks
• Perform regular floor inspections to assess safety compliance and identify hazards
• Collaborate on the development and enhancement of safety procedures and policies
• Support incident investigations by documenting findings and recommendations
• Participate in risk assessment activities to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
• Attend and contribute to safety meetings to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement
• Perform additional safety-related duties as assigned based on team needs and leadership direction

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Safety program or related field
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain safety concepts clearly
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify risks and propose solutions
