About the role
The Field Safety Manager promotes the Company's IIF culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safely every night. You’ll spend a minimum of 90% of your time in the field observing and coaching co-workers and Field Safety Representatives on correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition and rewards, serves as a safety resource, and uses leading indicators to influence the future direction of safety on the project. Embeds yourself with the project team and strategically "dives in" using a hands-on approach to improve project safety, quality, and productivity (SQP).
Responsibilities
- Promotes the Company's IIF Culture by being a safety resource to the project
- Assists in project compliance with all safety rules and regulations
- Conducts job site case management
- Oversees the work of direct reports
- Ensures a safe work environment
- Participates in training and certifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (safety-related major) and a minimum of 4 years of concrete construction and safety experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of a certificate in a related field, or construction experience with OSHA 500 training certification
