About the role
We are looking for a Safety Engineer to join our Safety team on our project in Ohio. This is a full-time, in person position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project-level safety coordination and serve as the primary office-side safety contact
- Review and hold subcontractors accountable for safety deliverables, including safety plans, JHAs, and crane plans
- Lead safety meetings, including kickoffs, safety committee meetings, and worker feedback sessions
- Cook up and manage onsite safety training and safety incentive initiatives
- Conduct accident investigations and support ELTs
- Track safety metrics, observations, incidents, and lessons learned
- Review crane plans and support engineered lift planning
- Provide overall office support to Holder field safety professionals
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management/EHS or a related field OR 3+ years of equivalent safety experience
- Preferred: Knowledge of construction industry practices, codes, and safety standards
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Prior experience leading safety meetings and investigations
