About the role
As a Safety Engineer in Faribault, MN, you will:
- Lead safety engineering efforts related to machine guarding, tools and fixtures, and ergonomics within a manufacturing setting
- Conduct on-site assessments to identify hazards, compliance gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement corrective actions aligned with OSHA, ANSI, and internal safety standards
- Partner with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure safe equipment design and use
- Support documentation updates, risk assessments, and safety validation activities
- Provide technical guidance and training to on-site teams to reinforce safe work practices
- Deliver progress updates and recommendations to leadership throughout the project duration
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
- Contribute to projects that impact communities in Northfield, Owatonna, Dundas, Medford, Lakeville, Farmington, Waseca, and Lonsdale, and the greater southern Twin Cities metro

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Safety Engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of machine guarding standards, ergonomics principles, and safe equipment design
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, risk assessments, and incident prevention strategies
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and deliver results within a short project timeline
