About the role
The Safety Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines in the workplace. This includes conducting regular safety audits, training employees on safety protocols, and implementing safety measures to prevent accidents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety audits and provide feedback to management on areas needing improvement.
- Train employees on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Implement and maintain safety equipment and facilities.
- Oversee the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with external safety consultants and regulatory bodies as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a safety management role.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and improve workplace safety culture.
- Experience in managing safety programs and overseeing safety teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
