Safety Coordinator - Mission Critical / Data Centers

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in the implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures on assigned projects
• Safeguards jobsite safety through audits, inspections, and hazard identification activities
• Maintains compliance with safety standards and reports findings to safety leadership
• Supports maintenance of safety documentation, including reports, logs, and inspection records
• Ensures enforcement of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
• Identifies and communicates potential safety concerns to safety leadership
• Monitors jobsite activities and escalates unsafe conditions or behaviors
• Coordinates safety-related activities on jobsites
• Supports safety planning efforts by gathering information and assisting with implementation
• Facilitates safety orientations and training sessions
• Promotes safe work practices among field personnel
• Encourages open communication of safety concerns and supports a positive safety culture
• Attends safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project kickoff activities
• Gathers information and documentation related to safety incidents
• Supports preparation of incident reports and safety documentation
• Tracks safety metrics and ensures timely and accurate reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, construction management, or related field required
• Minimum 2+ years of safety experience required, preferably in the construction industry
• Experience supporting safety audits, inspections, or reporting preferred
• Familiarity with construction process and jobsite environment preferred
• OSHA10 or OSHA30 certification required, or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe
• Basic understanding of construction safety practices and regulations
• Ability to identify hazards and follow established safety procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively in a field environment
