About The Role

The EHS Safety Coordinator supports the implementation and maintenance of Wells’ safety programs across plant, field, and contractor operations. This role assists with training, audits, incident investigations, compliance tracking, and safety culture initiatives. The Safety Coordinator works closely with the EHS team to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe work environment.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is a motivated and detail-oriented safety professional who is passionate about supporting a strong workplace safety culture. They are organized, dependable, and comfortable working across multiple teams to support compliance, training, and incident response activities. This individual communicates effectively, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and accountability are top priorities.

  • High school diploma required; associate degree in safety or related field preferred
  • 2–3 years of safety, compliance, or administrative support experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices preferred
  • Experience with data tracking systems or learning management systems a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.
  • May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.

Qualifications

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Hours are typically full-time, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
