Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Cook up and/or execute necessary Branch safety activities like site visits, vehicle checks, Branch safety meetings, and other tasks as needed.
• Assess the physical layout of the Branch.
• Inspect Roto-Rooter-owned equipment.
• Manage the procurement and stock of personal protective and loss prevention gear.
• Conduct and/or facilitate Branch safety training sessions.
• Lead the Branch safety team.
• Educate employees about OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents and report findings and recommendations to management.
• Evaluate and report on Branch safety practices as required.
• Complete the monthly Branch Safety Report.
• Participate in the monthly conference call with the Region Safety Manager to discuss safety activities.
• Coordinate plumbing school training.
• Manage the activities of certified field trainers concerning safety.
• Serve as a “Safety Ambassador” within the company and the community.
• Oversee the Commercial Driving Safety Program, including managing driver qualification files.

Requirements

• Excellent communicator and a patient trainer/instructor.
• Knowledge and experience with safety equipment and practices.
• Comfortable using Microsoft programs, internet, and smartphones.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000, depending on experience.
