About the role

Are you a safety-focused professional who thrives in active construction environments and takes pride in protecting people and projects? We’re looking for a Project Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety execution across our job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations to ensure safe work practices.
  • Complete Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Identify hazards and implement or recommend immediate corrective actions.
  • Support safe execution of high-risk work activities.
  • Participate in job planning and site coordination meetings.
  • Aid in incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.
  • Assist with new hire orientations, site safety orientations, and toolbox talks.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and proactive safety culture across the job site.
  • Submit safety reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Escalate safety concerns, trends, and risks to the Safety Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to engage field teams and reinforce safe behaviors in real time.
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in active, fast-paced construction environments.
  • Commitment to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in construction safety or a related field.
  • First Aid & CPR certification (required or ability to obtain within 30 days).
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
  • STSC® (Safety Trained Supervisor Construction) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Authority to stop work in unsafe conditions.
  • Authority to require immediate corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on active job sites.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
