About the role
Are you a safety-focused professional who thrives in active construction environments and takes pride in protecting people and projects? We’re looking for a Project Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety execution across our job sites.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations to ensure safe work practices.
- Complete Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Identify hazards and implement or recommend immediate corrective actions.
- Support safe execution of high-risk work activities.
- Participate in job planning and site coordination meetings.
- Aid in incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.
- Assist with new hire orientations, site safety orientations, and toolbox talks.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and proactive safety culture across the job site.
- Submit safety reports and documentation accurately and on time.
- Escalate safety concerns, trends, and risks to the Safety Supervisor.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to engage field teams and reinforce safe behaviors in real time.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in active, fast-paced construction environments.
- Commitment to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in construction safety or a related field.
- First Aid & CPR certification (required or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- OSHA 30 preferred.
- STSC® (Safety Trained Supervisor Construction) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Authority to stop work in unsafe conditions.
- Authority to require immediate corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on active job sites.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
