Safety Coordinator

About the role

Sulphur Springs, TX - Paris, TX

Location: East Texas (Regional Travel Required)

Responsibilities

• Conducting job site safety inspections and audits.
• Ensuring compliance with OSHA, MSHA, TxDOT, and MUTCD standards.
• Supporting work zone safety and traffic control operations.
• Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions.
• Delivering safety orientations and employee training.
• Coaching field personnel and promoting proactive hazard identification.
• Maintaining safety records and compliance documentation.
• Traveling to project sites throughout the region.

Requirements

• 2+ years of safety experience in construction, transportation, mining, or industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations.
• Experience supporting TxDOT or roadway construction projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 85%.

Qualifications

• CSP certification
• ATSSA Traffic Control certifications
• First Aid/CPR
• Experience with MUTCD standards
