Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Aid the Corporate Safety Director in fostering Cajun’s Safety Culture through collaboration with Executive Management, Company Presidents, and Division Managers.
• Lead and guide Division Safety Managers in health and safety matters.
• Act as a point of contact for health and safety inquiries.
• Contribute to the creation and execution of new safety regulations relevant to Cajun operations.
• Monitor and facilitate the development and implementation of safety-related training programs.
• Organize and conduct meetings and training sessions to meet Cajun Industries' needs.

Qualifications

• Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Frequently required to talk or hear, walk, sit, and use hands and arms.
• Sometimes required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, use hands and fingers to handle and feel.
• Requires close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to perform sedentary work.
• May require driving cars/trucks as needed.
• Mental capacity includes the ability to direct others, communicate effectively, give and receive directions, and complete calculations.
• Must be able to concentrate amid distractions and remember details.
• Requires the ability to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office devices.
