Responsibilities
- Aid the Corporate Safety Director in fostering Cajun’s Safety Culture through collaboration with Executive Management, Company Presidents, and Division Managers.
- Lead and guide Division Safety Managers in health and safety matters.
- Act as a point of contact for health and safety inquiries.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of new safety regulations relevant to Cajun operations.
- Monitor and facilitate the development and implementation of safety-related training programs.
- Organize and conduct meetings and training sessions to meet Cajun Industries' needs.
Qualifications
- Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Frequently required to talk or hear, walk, sit, and use hands and arms.
- Sometimes required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, use hands and fingers to handle and feel.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to perform sedentary work.
- May require driving cars/trucks as needed.
- Mental capacity includes the ability to direct others, communicate effectively, give and receive directions, and complete calculations.
- Must be able to concentrate amid distractions and remember details.
- Requires the ability to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office devices.
