Safety Assistant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Safety leads a team of safety professionals to innovate, design, and enhance systems, processes, and equipment to ensure safety compliance and promote safety excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety themes and complex improvement projects.
• Oversee daily safety operations and mentor team members.
• Apply safety expertise to reduce hazards and injuries through PDCA cycles.
• Interpret and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and safety data analysis.
• Report safety activities and results with detailed data interpretation.
• Develop technical expertise and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
• 8+ years safety experience or equivalent manufacturing background.
• Professional safety certifications preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management tools.

Work Conditions
