Safety and Workers' Compensation Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Support safety-first initiatives and handle all workers’ compensation claims.
  • Assist with general safety duties, including daily safety activities and reducing workplace risks.
  • Complete safety checks, audits, job reviews, and ergonomic reviews.
  • Review accidents, near misses, and safety concerns; help find causes and recommend fixes.
  • Maintain safety records, training records, incident logs, and safety reports.
  • Manage the Massotherapy program, including scheduling, communication, and early support.
  • Handle workers’ compensation claims from start to finish, including filing, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Work with injured associates, medical providers, supervisors, Human Resources, and claim partners.
  • Assist with return-to-work plans and modified duty when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with safety programs, OSHA records, accident reports, workers’ compensation claims, or return-to-work plans preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Ability to handle private information with care.
