About the role

The Safety and Occupational Health Specialist supports a national safety program by providing expert guidance, policy interpretation, and oversight in occupational safety, compliance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments
• Develop corrective action plans
• Review project plans for safety compliance
• Deliver safety policies, training, and guidance
• Represent the organization to stakeholders
• Maintain safety records
• Support continuous safety improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related fields
• At least five years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of OSH laws, hazard detection, and safety systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
