Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and facilitate an operational "Safety Program" to include risk management, DOT compliance, vehicle safety initiatives, safety manuals and policies, safety recognition programs, and newsletters.
Conduct employee safety and life-saving training, workplace injury and illness prevention, branch safety inspections and hazard analysis, quarterly OSHA and SUSA reporting, and workers' compensation case liaison with TPA Sedgwick and SUSA.
Analyze data and implement strategies to address areas of weakness in Workers' Compensation cases.
Manage Business Continuity and prepare for emergencies, including logistical preparedness, disaster preparedness, and emergency management.
Develop and implement a comprehensive "Loss Prevention" program, including branch procedural inspections, SOP review and training, loss and adjustment reviews, facility and property hardening, walk-throughs, vulnerability analysis, facility design changes, call-out lists, and security reports.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies for investigations and interview services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent safety experience of at least 10 years.
Proven experience with Safety, Health, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental.
Credentialed member of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding safety and health.
Proven leadership skills and team management experience.
Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
