About the role

Bruker Nano, one of Bruker’s four operating segments, is seeking a Safety and Compliance Coordinator to ensure compliance with all company-directed safety policies. The position involves effective communication and cross-functional teamwork, with responsibilities including:

  • Performing all Health and Safety functions, training, and enforcement.
  • Maintaining and updating personal employee safety equipment, such as Monitor 4’s and dosimetry badges.
  • Maintaining and ensuring all equipment is certified and calibrated at safe intervals.
  • Ensuring all activities involving radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment comply with national and international standards and regulations.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining radiation protection programs to minimize radiation exposure to workers and the environment.
  • Providing training and education to employees on radiation safety principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring activities to ensure radiation levels in work areas remain within safe limits.
  • Developing and enforcing radiation safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Conducting routine safety audits to identify and correct safety issues.
  • Staying updated with changing regulations and implementing new guidelines to maintain safety and avoid penalties.
  • Performing 2 fire and 1 tornado drill per year.
  • Helping with customer/supplier surveys.
  • Overseeing all functions associated with building operations, including updating/maintaining preventive maintenance orders and dealing with daily building maintenance issues.
  • Working closely with the third-party maintenance provider, reviewing, understanding, and approving service provider invoices, and maintaining ISO 9001 documentation database.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience and an associate degree in business preferred.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while multitasking.
  • Ability to work as both a sole contributor and as a team member.
  • Ability to execute tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated basic mathematical skills.
  • Microsoft proficiency.
  • Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards.
