About the role
The Safety Analyst will manage and support risk reduction activities, identify ergonomic risks, and ensure compliance with safety standards. They will also facilitate safety training, coordinate incident management, and drive standardization across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support risk reduction activities at Toyota Mississippi.
- Identify ergonomic risks and recommend countermeasures.
- Monitor and report on safety KPIs and compliance metrics.
- Support safety training programs, including coordination and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate incident management processes, including investigation and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
- Coordinate and promote safety culture initiatives.
- Provide safety support to plant operations and drive standardization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Biomechanics, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent.
- At least 75% of responsibilities must involve developing, implementing, and managing safety programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong decision-making, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Proactive learner and open to feedback.
- Experience with project management, kaizen, problem-solving, data analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to develop business plans and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Biomechanics, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent.
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP)/Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Biomechanics, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent.
- OSHA 10 hour and OSHA 30 hour certifications.
