Safety Analyst

About the role

The Toyota Safety Department is seeking a Safety Analyst to oversee Industrial Hygiene & Chemical Safety programs at the TMMAL Engine Plant.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Industrial Hygiene & Chemical Safety programs
• Supporting the Site’s unique safety needs
• Supporting the Regional Safety Group objectives
• Developing and administering the Site’s chemical monitoring program
• Supporting new chemical reviews/approvals
• Resolving potential chemical exposures
• Providing new hire safety orientation training
• Partnering with various groups on safety issues
• Interpreting and applying OSHA 1910.126 Safety Standards
• Implementing Toyota SMS System
• Conducting and correcting issues from safety audits
• Communicating major issues and countermeasures to the Executive Team
• Developing and managing plans to achieve Hoshin targets

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or related field
• Experience with ergonomic evaluations and quantification of results
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a safety or safety-related role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience with health and safety regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or related field
