Job Description ROLE OVERVIEW This position will provide full time environmental health and safety support to Oshkosh North Extrusion Operations department and will ensure that all practices are in compliance with local and state agencies. Support the development and coordination of tasks and activities related to the maintenance and improvement of safety and environmental programs for the facility. What You Get To Do Assist the facility in promoting and implementing an EHS culture, which secures effective implementation of policies, procedures and responsibilities.Assists the facility incident investigation process to ensure incidents are reported in a timely manner, root causes are identified and corrective actions are tracked through closure.Assist the development, implementation and continual enhancement of EHS management systems at the facility.Assist department managers, supervisors and employees with implementation of creative approaches to improve safety, minimize environmental footprint/liability, and EHS initiatives.Participate in EHS inspections and assessments to assure compliance with regulatory requirements, Amcor EHS initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations.Assist in the development, maintenance, implementation, and annual review of EHS policies, procedures and responsibilities.Participates in monitoring activities necessary to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and Bemis initiatives.Provide recommendations and ensure proper follow up and resolution of all concerns identified through assessments, inspections, monitoring activities or other means.Evaluate new materials and material use to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, promote a safe work environment and protect the environment.Work with engineering in the design and installation of new or altered equipment or processes with the goal of eliminating or reducing safety hazards and environmental impact.Develop and maintain Job Safety/Hazard Assessments and environmental impact assessments.All other duties as assigned.
