Safety Administrator
Principle Responsibilities
Establishing and maintaining department records and files
Updating project safety documents, recording meetings, filing, mailing, and distributing safety correspondence
Coordinate Trainings
Badging and Orientation
Daily Set-up
Coordination with the safety manager to address u/a results
Assist sub-contractors with questions related to documentation and reporting
Qualifications, Skills, And Abilities
- Educational Requirement: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ administrative support experience required.
- Position Related Skills: Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, and DocuSign; Strong organizational skills and possess excellent collaboration with team members; General construction knowledge and ability to understand construction terminology and process preferred; High standards of ethics and confidentiality to coordinate sensitive information; Ability to demonstrate assertiveness and work in a fast-paced environment; Ability to effectively prioritize workflow and has exceptional organizational and planning skills; Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, be proactive, and take ownership of issues to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy; Self-starter with the skills to research and complete tasks with limited supervision.
About the Role
The Safety Administrator will work within the Safety department and will report to the Director of Safety. They will work closely with the safety team and project teams. The Safety Administrator is responsible for supporting the written safety programs, procedures, and requirements of the safety department. The safety department as well as the project teams depend on the support from this role to ensure that safety policies, procedures, and practices are adhered by. This position is fully onsite at our office located in Lake Oswego, OR.
Pay
$50,000 - $70,000 DOE
Schedule
Workday is combination of standing, walking and sitting. Must be able to climb stairs: 5% of day. Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use. Sight: Visual acuity in near, mid, and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination. Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone. Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone. Lift/Carry: Up to 25Ibs – Minimal. Bending/Twisting: Minimal. Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Minimal. Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required. Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments. Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results. Must be able to plan and organize work. Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction-related documentation and communicate with coworkers. Must be able to work in an office setting.
