About the role
The Health & Safety Administrator supports the U.S. Safety Manager and operational teams by maintaining safety records, coordinating training, preparing safety communications, and assisting with incident and compliance administration. This role ensures accurate documentation, organized workflows, and smooth day-to-day safety program operations.
The Health & Safety Administrator supports the U.S. Safety Manager by maintaining accurate safety records, coordinating employee training, preparing safety communications, and assisting with incident and compliance documentation. This role ensures organized, audit-ready documentation, smooth training workflows, and timely reporting across multiple branches. The administrator also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying gaps in records, recommending process enhancements, and supporting daily safety program operations. Strong organization, communication, and confidentiality are essential for success in this fast-paced, detail-driven role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain training records, certifications, compliance documentation, and safety databases.
- Coordinate training schedules, registrations, attendance tracking, and onboarding requirements.
- Administer and support the Learning Management System (LMS) and training records.
- Monitor certification expirations and ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Prepare safety reports, presentations, toolbox talks, newsletters, and performance metrics.
- Support incident tracking, workers' compensation documentation, audits, and regulatory recordkeeping.
- Assist with customer prequalification packages, compliance requests, and data management.
- Identify gaps in training, certification, and compliance records and recommend process improvements.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the safety program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Additional education in Safety, Business Administration, HR, or related fields is an asset.
- One year of experience in administrative, training, HR, safety, or compliance support preferred.
