About the role

Azuria Water Solutions is seeking a Safety Administrator to support safety reporting, compliance administration, DISA drug and alcohol program activities, driver file management, and safety team operations. Azuria is a leading provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and related technologies for rehabilitating sewer, drinking water, and stormwater pipeline systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support general safety reporting and administrative functions for the safety team.
  • Prepare project-specific safety documentation as required by customers.
  • Administer DISA and other drug/alcohol testing program activities, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing in accordance with company policy and applicable DOT/FMCSA/PHMSA.
  • Maintain DISA driver qualification files, ensuring required documents are complete, current, accurate, and properly uploaded.
  • Monitor DISA dashboards, testing status, driver file completion, expired or pending items, and required follow-up actions.
  • Provide timely updates and reports to operations, safety managers, local administrators, HR, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate DISA clinic authorizations, testing paperwork, employee notifications, and result follow-up while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist with developing and implementing work instructions within the management system.
  • Maintain health and safety management system records and documents.
  • Assist with site process risk assessments.
  • Manage safety databases and administrative systems, including DISA, Cority, AlertMedia, SharePoint, and other safety team platforms.
  • Process safety team transactions and invoices.
  • Ensure invoicing and purchase order requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with creating and distributing Toolbox Trainings, Flash Reports, and other safety communications.
  • Complete required safety courses, maintain records and systems, and support Certificate of Recognition audits.

  • Minimum of one to three years of administrative experience; safety-related experience or qualifications preferred.
  • Experience with health and safety processes, procedures, auditing, or DISA is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations, and draft reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic and apply percentages, proportions, measurements, and related calculations.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems, manage limited standardization, and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Personal Attributes: Ability to build effective working relationships, work flexibly, prioritize competing tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Computer-Based: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to work with spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, and new applications.

Physical Demands: Duties regularly require sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands; occasional standing, reaching, climbing, balancing, tasting, or smelling may be required. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 5 kilograms and occasionally up to 12 kilograms.

Work Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, moving vehicles or mechanical operations, fumes or airborne particles, and moderate noise. Automobile and air travel may be required.
