S/W Q.A. Spec./App Tester - Expert with Security Clearance

About the role

This position requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph on day one and is located in the Herndon area. The Automated tester will work as part of a small test team supporting multiple software applications in various stages of deployment.

Responsibilities

• Work with application developers to support performance/load testing to fully evaluate the application capabilities.
• Write automated code in Java, including writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios.
• Evaluate developer assignments, independently understand requirements, and engineer tests to evaluate best path scenario as well as probe for possible failure conditions.
• Interact in a Linux environment using tools like Bash scripting and VI.
• Ensure the QA and testing approach references all known vulnerabilities and best practices.
• Conduct and report testing using a repeatable process based on industry best practices.
• Maintain and update the test environment.
• Collaborate with team members in a group environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 11 Years of relevant experience or 8 years with a Bachelors Degree.
• Experience with API testing through Swagger.
• Experience with SQL queries for data validation (Oracle, Postgres).
• Expert in Selenium WebDriver as well as other automated testing technologies such as Katalon Studio and Cucumber.
• Must be able to evaluate developer assignments, independently understand requirements, and engineer tests to evaluate best path scenario as well as probe for possible failure conditions.
• Must know to use an IDE to code (ex - IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans).
• Experience with interacting in a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting, VI).
• Expertise in writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios.
• Demonstrated history with manual and automated test processes.
• Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment.
• Solid hands-on experience testing experience with testing tools such as JMeter, Cypress, and /or Selenium.

Qualifications

• Experience with unit test frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Swagger, and Postman is a plus.
• Familiarity with Source code management and integration (ex - GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins) is a plus.
• Experience in an Agile environment is a plus.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
