RWS Global | LEGOLAND® Florida Character Performer

RWS Global is a full-service, worldwide production company that provides custom-designed and pre-packaged events and live shows for corporations, theme parks, cruise ships, resorts, and the fashion industry. Established in 2003, we are seeking high-energy Costume Characters at LEGOLAND® Florida in Winter Haven, Florida for the Daily Park Opening Moment, Character Meet & Greets, and Hotel Events. This role may perform in both the theme park and hotel locations.

About the role

Costumed Character Performers bring characters to life in full-body costumes, acting as mascots or serving as character sidekicks when needed. Sidekick responsibilities include assisting during meet-and-greets, voicing the character, and engaging with guests to create a welcoming and interactive experience. Performers must be comfortable wearing a full costume for up to 30 minutes at a time in various indoor and outdoor climates.

In the hotel setting, performers support family-focused programming such as character meet-and-greets, hosting games, leading dance parties, and reading during Storytime experiences. Performers should be comfortable speaking with guests, facilitating activities, and maintaining high energy while interacting with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform as a costumed character in a full-body costume (mascot-style, head fully covered).
• Serve as a character sidekick, assisting during meet-and-greets and voicing the character.
• Engage with guests to create interactive and welcoming experiences.
• Support family-focused programming in the hotel, including meet-and-greets, games, dance parties, and Storytime.
• Facilitate activities and maintain high energy while interacting with children and families.

Requirements

• Must be between 5'1" and 5'5" to fit costume specifications.
• Must be local to Winter Haven, Florida or the surrounding area.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have weekend availability (at least 1 weekend day per week).
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• All gender identities are welcome.
• This is a non-union job.

Pay

$15.50 per hour

Schedule

• Part-time role with approximately 6-8 hours per shift, between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
• Typically 2-3 days per week, with at least 2 days of availability required (including at least 1 weekend day).
