Rugby Men's Back Coach

About the role

University of Kent Men’s Rugby is seeking an enthusiastic Backs Coach to join their coaching team for the upcoming season. The position offers competitive university rugby, excellent player development opportunities, and a salary range of £15–20 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for student-athletes
• Work closely with the Head Coach to support the overall team strategy
• Provide technical and tactical guidance to players
• Assist in the preparation and execution of matches

Requirements

• At least ERCA/Level 2 Coaching qualification preferred
• Experience working with student-athletes at the university level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a related field (ideally sports science or education)
• Previous coaching experience at the university or high school level
• Knowledge of rugby rules and regulations

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire athletes
• Proficiency in using sports technology and software
