Rug and Upholstery Technician

About the role

SERVPRO is a specialized fire, water, mold, and storm damage restoration company known for its fast response, high-quality work, and commitment to customer recovery. We are currently seeking a Rug & Upholstery Cleaning Technician to perform professional cleaning services on rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.

Responsibilities

• Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture (sofas, chairs, etc.)
• Perform spot treatment, stain removal, and deodorization
• Operate cleaning equipment (extractors, air movers, specialty tools)
• Inspect materials and determine proper cleaning methods
• Pick up and deliver rugs when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and vehicle
• Communicate with customers and ensure satisfaction

Requirements

• Strong work ethic
• Attention to detail
• Comfortable with physical work (lifting 50+ lbs)
• Valid driver’s license
• Customer-friendly attitude

Qualifications

• Experience in carpet/upholstery cleaning is a plus (but not required—we train)
• Hands-on role in homes and businesses (not stuck behind a desk)
• Clear path for advancement within SERVPRO

Pay & Perks

• $18 – $24/hour (based on experience)
