Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments
- Carries out general and critical care respiratory care procedures
- Provides respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery
- Conducts blood gas analysis and interprets results
- Maintains and manages respiratory care equipment
- Provides patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Minimum Experience: Previous working experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- Licensure/Certification: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Maintains active practice and competency in both adult and neonatal areas
