Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments and general and critical care respiratory care procedures
- Provides respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery
- Maintains and manages respiratory care equipment
- Mentors and educates patients and families about their care
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Minimum Experience: Previous working experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- Licensure/Certification: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Maintains all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas
