RRT - NICU, Nights

About the role

Piedmont Eastside is seeking a Full Time Nights Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their dedicated team in Snellville, GA.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and testing
• Provides patient education
• Maintains and manages respiratory care equipment
• Maintains compliance with prescribed therapies related to pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders
• Assists with neonatal respiratory care in the Labor and Delivery area
• Performs blood gas analysis and interpretation
• Trains and educates patients and families on respiratory care procedures
• Participates in ongoing professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
• Minimum Experience: Previous working experience in Neonatal Respiratory Care, or successful completion of department-specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
• Licenses/Certifications: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
• Additional Qualifications: Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP. Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas
