Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments
- General and critical care respiratory care procedures
- Respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery
- Blood gas analysis and interpretation
- Maintenance and management of equipment
- Patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas
Qualifications
- Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required
- Work Experience: Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level required
- Licenses and Certifications: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners upon hire
- BCLS - Basic Life Support, ACLS, NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation, PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required upon hire
