What You'll Be Doing
- Travel between apartment communities providing porter and cleaning support wherever it's needed.
- Community & Common Area Care:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, mirrors, and windows
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, laundry rooms, offices, and common areas
- Remove trash and recycling
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies
- Maintain building entrances, sidewalks, breezeways, and parking areas
- Help ensure each community remains clean, safe, and welcoming
- Apartment Turnover Support:
- Assist with preparing vacant apartments for new residents
- Clean units during the turnover process
- Support property teams with community projects and special assignments
- Assist maintenance teams with general property appearance and cleanliness
- Deep Cleaning & Specialty Projects:
- Occasionally assist with carpet cleaning
- Floor stripping, waxing, and buffing
- Interior and exterior window cleaning
- Large-scale property cleanups and beautification projects
- Previous porter, janitorial, housekeeping, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred
- Valid California driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle and proof of insurance
- Ability to travel between multiple properties throughout the workday
- Ability to communicate in conversational English
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening (a conviction will not automatically disqualify you)
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching
- Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
