Router Supervisor

About the role

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for an Inbound Router Supervisor at our Wheeling, IL Service Center. The position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 10pm-8am, with PTO available after the first 90 calendar days of employment and an excellent benefits package including employee resorts.

Responsibilities

• Driver and Freight Handler Management
• Cookout Dock Operation and Driver/Freight Handler Scheduling
• Ensure Safety Compliance
• Ensure Quality Freight Handling Procedures are Followed
• Timely Dispatching of LTL Loads
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager

Qualifications

• Proven Basic Leadership Experience
• Ability to Lead in a Fast-Paced Environment
• Strong Organizational, Communication, and Logistical Skills with Solid Problem-Solving Abilities
• Knowledge of Quality Freight Handling Preferred
• Computer Skills and Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
• Knowledge of the City and Surrounding Areas
• Prior LTL Leadership Experience Strongly Preferred
