About the Role
The Route Supervisor supports the Director with leadership of the safe, timely, and effective delivery of linen and other assigned products to customers. This role requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills to maintain professional relationships with Route Service Representatives (drivers), clients, and other personnel as part of the leadership team.
Responsibilities include assisting with recruiting, selecting, training, managing, disciplining, and terminating RSRs to maintain a highly effective, reliable, and safety-focused team. The role also involves oversight of transportation vehicles and vendor relations to ensure consistent and safe operations.
Responsibilities
- Supports operations management through high-level communication between management and RSRs.
- Investigates client issues and concerns to determine root causes and implement corrective actions for sustained improvement.
- Compiles data to illustrate operational metrics and outcomes.
- Participates in committees, meetings, and activities to add value to the division.
- Maintains a safe and orderly environment, observing RSRs for safe practices, including handling infectious materials.
- Demonstrates and promotes the company’s culture, values, and management philosophy.
- Encourages staff participation in additional training, education, and self-development.
- Routinely rides along with RSRs for observation and training enhancement.
- Provides high-level communication to keep managers and directors informed of activities, needs, or concerns.
- Maintains records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Builds and maintains high-quality relationships with vendors and service providers.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or professional driving certification.

Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
