Route Relief Driver
About the role
Mission Linen Supply is seeking a Route Relief Driver to join our team. This position involves driving and providing services to customers on designated routes within the community. We are looking for motivated drivers with a sales-oriented mindset who can develop new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with company standards.
- Call on prospective customers to solicit new business.
- Inform regular customers about new products or services.
- Drive the truck to deliver laundry and/or uniforms to customer’s place of business.
- Collect or pick up rejected or unsold laundry and/or uniforms.
- Load/unload truck as needed.
- Develop and maintain customer goodwill through assistance, demonstrations, and courtesy.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally.
- Manage inventory and follow company policies on inventory control.
- Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on customer invoices.
- Issue or obtain customer signatures on invoices for pickup or delivery.
- Record delivery and inventory information on daily invoices.
- Clean the inside of the truck.
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck.
- Attend training and service department meetings.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of sales and customer service experience.
- A clean driver’s license.
- The ability to drive a 26’ bobtail truck.
- Comfortable loading/unloading up to 50 lbs of linen daily.
- Passes drug tests and clinic physical.

The pay rate for this position is $26.41 per hour, with the starting pay being based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignment. The average total annual compensation for the Route Sales and Service Representative position is over $80K, with potential for much more.
