About the role
The Route Operations Specialist is a member of the Local Purveyor’s leadership team and is responsible for managing office operations and compliance within the route.
Responsibilities
- Selling Events
- Manage the Selling Event schedule to ensure compliance with required schedule
- Supervise the Brand Concierge and Premium Advantage team to ensure proper training, scheduling, communication, and supplies
- Create Go-Spot-Check missions for events
- Office and Operations Support
- Support Local Purveyor with collections and payment processing
- Call on customers as requested by the Local Purveyor
- Manage personnel matters for route as required including DOT forms and new hire paperwork
- Warehouse Operations
- Responsible for overall direction of warehouse operations including leading, directing, and supervising the activities of warehouse and/or delivery employees
- Proper execution of delivery receiving, product rotation (FIFO), and order fulfillment
- Validation of final order processing, scale operation, and customer invoicing
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company health and safety regulations
- Responsible for FSMA recordkeeping for warehouse operations
- Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment
- Complete and validate inventory control processes including:
- Conducting weekly physical count and placing weekly FB order
- Confirming inventory movement, adjusting for changes (e.g., sale or focus items), and adjusting inventory levels to reduce shrink and minimize out-of-stock items
- Researching/authorizing credit memos and destruction of out-of-date product
- Personnel Management
- Assist the Local Purveyor with identifying qualified candidates for openings within the route
- General
- Complete additional activities or special projects as assigned by Local Purveyor
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; including basic math and reasoning
- 3+ years of experience working in an office environment; A/P or A/R experience a plus
- High school math competency, basic reasoning, and computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
- Proficient in QuickBooks
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.; push or pull objects up to 600 lbs.
Language Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environment
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays based on the Local Purveyor’s schedule
