Route Manager (St. Augustine, FL)

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Manages daily route assignments to ensure all customers are properly serviced according to contractual agreements.
• Maintains service, safety, and production standards for all drivers on the assigned route.
• Monitors and manages driver time and attendance to enhance operational efficiency.
• Resolves issues related to driver errors and missed customer pickups.
• Coordinates with Safety and HR teams for driver drug and alcohol testing and physical requirements.
• Conducts appropriate investigations for all incidents and injuries, suggesting areas of improvement and training.
• Maintains relationships with the dispatch team for customer service and anticipates potential issues.
• Collaborates with the Operational and HR teams to address employee relations concerns.
• Manages all necessary documentation for Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
• Audits and verifies daily driver documentation, including time and attendance, service tickets, and driver hours.
• Promotes a union-free workplace as appropriate.
• Analyzes daily route performance and provides suggestions for improvement to the Operation Management team.

Education Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Post-secondary education in business, computers, or office management preferred

Experience And Competencies

• Experience in the waste industry with DOT-regulated positions required.
• Strong attention to detail.
