This position supports oilfield operations with diverse daily duties, working with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. Candidates must be organized, safety-minded, and able to interact professionally with customers and coworkers. Work may occur in all types of inclement or extreme weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Set well equipment on well locations
- Install and repair pipelines
- Secure equipment and safely transport according to DOT requirements
- Clean up environmental spills
- Assemble and install equipment, tank batteries, and build flow lines from well heads and flow trees
- Operate high-pressure power washing equipment
- Install and repair oil and production water tanks, including confined space entry in water truck tanks
- Dig pits and lines
- Repair dikes and perform general ground work around well sites
- Perform access road upkeep and maintenance
- Operate light and heavy equipment
- Assist coworkers as needed
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, proper working condition
- Conduct all field activities safely and accurately
- Operate and maintain company equipment and fleet
- Perform cleaning and maintenance on equipment
- Act as a spotter for vehicles and other equipment
- Perform general yard maintenance of grounds and buildings
- Communicate with supervisors and coworkers via telephone, email, or in person
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Safety
- Comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements and applicable state and federal regulations
- Conduct job tasks and transportation activities safely and with environmental caution
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques
- Secure work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite
- Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures
- Correct unsafe conditions and report uncorrectable conditions to supervisor immediately
- Work safely in potentially hazardous environments
- Attend all required safety meetings
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record verified by Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Pass a urine 10-panel drug screen, hair follicle test, and background screening
- Proficiency with all types of tools and equipment
- Ability to work safely at various heights
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
- Punctuality and regular attendance
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to work with or around drilling rig fluids
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers effectively
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- At least 18 years old
Working Conditions
- Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Repetitive tasks requiring hand and foot coordination
- Operation monitoring of gauges, dials, and other indicators
- Work outside in all weather conditions around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery
- Exposure to dampness, humidity, chemicals, exhaust fumes, gasoline, and diesel fuel
- High physical and mental stamina for shifts longer than 12 hours
- Ability to swing a 12lb sledgehammer and lift 70lbs or greater
- Quick reaction time (running, ducking, lunging)
- Good hearing, vision (including depth perception and peripheral vision), and mental alertness for entire shifts
