About the role
As an Air Ambulance Pilot, you will provide rapid, life-saving transportation for patients, ensuring safety for the medical team and passengers during flights.
Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft according to FAA regulations
- Plan and execute flights
- Collaborate with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch
- Respond promptly to emergency calls
- Maintain accurate flight logs
- Uphold professional interactions with patients, families, and the public
Qualifications
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and appropriate ratings
- Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate
- Minimum 2,500 flight hours in helicopter
- Experience in cross-country, night, and instrument flying
- Ability to perform pre-flight/post-flight inspections and meet FAA medical and physical standards
- Strong communication, decision-making, situational awareness, and team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Air ambulance and Night Vision Goggle experience
- 300+ flight hours at night and turbine-engine hours
- Ability to sit for extended periods and handle physical tasks involving climbing and lifting
