Rotocure Lead Operator

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Monitor material at all points during the process and ensure consistent quality
• Record run condition data and quality data per Mannington specifications
• Communicate defects to Shift Manager / Quality Control Department
• Affiliate with root cause analysis in eliminating / reducing scrap and improving throughput
• Work with Shift Manager to review performance of team members and issue discipline when necessary
• Provide on the job training and evaluate effectiveness of operators
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of work stations
• Ensure that all team members maintain safe work practices
• Manage labor within designated line and provide breakouts as necessary
• Monitor performance of line to minimize down-time and non-perfect/scrap rates and maximize productivity

• Must be prepared to work flexible hours
• Must be able to lift 60 lbs
• Must be quality conscious
• Capable of dealing with multiple problems at the same time
• Troubleshoot problems and determine solutions
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer skills required (Outlook, SAP, Excel)
• Ability to motivate and train others
• Ability to operate a fork-lift
• Must have good attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of work station
• Maintain safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures
• Mechanical Knowledge
• Strong understanding of Mannington products

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, push, pull & reach for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift & carry up to 60 lbs
• Must be able to maneuver around an array of machinery
• Use of hands to finger, handle or feel
• Color & peripheral vision; depth perception & ability to adjust focus
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes, airborne particles and chemicals; extreme heat & loud noise level in some areas of the facility
• Ability to quickly respond to a signal when it appears
• Must be able to wear safety shoes & other assigned PPE for the duration of the shift
• Ability to work in an efficient & timely manner, multitasking where necessary
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform duties which requires tolerance of standing, repetitive hand movements, continual bending and squatting, near/far/depth/color vision, and inside ambient temperatures
